Diagnostics and prevention
 
Diagnostics: study of damaged mechanic components, both functional and/or aesthetic, through:
 
  • Inspection of the project and the conditions of use
  • Controls and non destructive exams (PND), chemical analysis, exams and micro analysis in electronic microscopy, macro e micro-fractographic exams, metallographic exams
  • Check of corrosion and stress corrosion resistance, Measurement of tensional states both applied and residual
  • Check of dimensioning and planning, Simulation of operating conditions.
Prevention: definition of supply and acceptance conditions for materials, semi-finished, thermal or thermo-chemical treatments, etc. by:
  • Drawing up supply technical specifications
  • Planning acceptance control programmes for monitoring quality levels and the products.
