Diagnostics: study of damaged mechanic components, both functional and/or aesthetic, through:
Inspection of the project and the conditions of use
Controls and non destructive tests (PND), chemical analysis, tests and micro analysis in electronic microscopy, macro e micro-fractographic controls, metallographic analysis
Check of corrosion and stress corrosion resistance, measurement of tensional states both applied and residual
Check of dimensioning and planning, simulation of operating conditions.
Prevention: definition of supply and acceptance conditions for materials, semi-finished, thermal or thermo-chemical treatments, etc. by:
- Drawing up supply technical specifications
- Planning acceptance control programmes for monitoring quality levels and the products.
